Lise Risom Olsen is a Norwegian actor based in Berlin. She is born in Fredrikstad in the south-east of Norway. After attending a high school with focus on drama and theatre, it was clear to her what she wanted to work with. She started studying theatre in Bergen, where she simultaneously created her first performances. 

In Norway, as well as across Europe, she developed skills in several stage forms by working for various theatres and performance groups. In addition, she established NONcompany, her own theatre group. The company has created several acclaimed performances, and has both worked and toured internationally.

In 2007 Lise Risom Olsen went to New York to study film acting and American acting techniques. She has continued honing her skills with some of the best acting coaches of our time. 

Lise Risom Olsen moved to Berlin in 2013. She starred in her first German production one and a half year later. Playing a main character in an episode of the country’s most popular crime TV show: TATORT, she received a great deal of attention for her work. In 2015 she joined the ensemble of the reputable theatre Schaubühne in Berlin. After a couple of years she returned to a life as a freelancer, combining acting for screen and stage. She now works internationally, mainly in English, German and Norwegian. She has played parts in the main cast of series like the British produced Netflix original series "The Innocents" (2018) and the danish series “Below The Surface 2” (2019), as well as continuing to perform the audience success “LOVE HURTS IN TINDER TIMES” at the Schaubühne in Berlin. She recently starred as one of the main charcaters in the Netflix film The Privilege (2021), a german coming of age horror film and she will appear as a guest star in the new action thriller series “The You Run” for SKY.

Lise Risom Olsen is a member of the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association and BFFS - Bundesverband Schauspiel in Germany.
