The shooting of the short story "Gråtekone" by Annette Mattsson is postponed.

The short story “Gråtekone” (professional mourner) by Annette Mattsson, adapted for film by Kathleen Johnsen and Nils Johan Nesse was to be filmed in Italy in March. Due to the situation around the Covid-19 the shooting is postponed to later this year. Lise is playing the lead Elin, trying to restore a relationship by inviting her ex-boyfrined on a trip to Italy. It will be the second film this crew makes from Mattsson’s short story collection “Å Dele En Flamme” , with Lise in the lead in both.

MAKT - an amateur night at Capitol Hill. Premiere in Trondheim.

The new monologue MAKT - an amateur night at Capitol Hill, written and performed by Lise Risom Olsen, has its premiere on January 17th at Rosendal Teater in Trondheim.

Should power be accessible for all? Or could this turn democracy to its own worst enemy? Capitol Hill, or The Capitoline Hill, was the heart of ancient Rome and a symbol of the Roman Empire. Today, Capitol Hill is the name of centers of power around the world, but it is also the center of power and wealth in many fantasy and sci-fi TV-series. 

In this piece, the actor Lise Risom Olsen presents both despotic Macbethian ideas of seeking power for the sake of it, and more recent notions in the age of mass propaganda where those who stand for nothing are susceptible to anything. The format evolves constantly, making us question both the actual agenda of the performer and our own role in this game of power structures. Political speeches, events in recent history, classical drama, and manipulation techniques are jumbled together. MAKT - an amateur night at Capitol Hill is about wanting, claiming, and possessing power, and about how power can be distributed and redistributed, and how this renders some powerless and others powerful.

Preview and artist talk in Bergen, MAKT - an amateur night at Capitol Hill

On the 13th of December NONcompany will show a “work in progress” of their new project MAKT - an amateur night at Capitol Hill. The production will be a one woman performance about power opening January 17th 2020 at Rosendal Teater in Trondheim, Norway. With Lise Risom Olsen, directed by Christoph Buchegger, video design by Phillip Hohenwarter, light design and sound by Sune Schelderup and technical design by Brynjar Vik. Tone Myklatun is producer.

The preview is a collaboration with BIT Teatergarasjen and will be followed by an artist talk with Lise Risom Olsen and Christoph Buchegger.
